I don't know about everyone else, but no, none of these so called life-changing moments have really stayed with me throughout my life. BMT, Orientation(s), OBS, etc. etc. I only remember them as vague stretches of time where I where I finally completed these rites of passage, rites that everyone else completes too. Its all very nice and peachy to say that this experience will stay with you through your life, but it really sounds like a load of sentimental bullcrap to me.

Really now, Pre-emptive nostalgia is such a load of crap.
